Gone Forever, Never in Memory

I was checking out the Google Doodle for the Philippine Independence Day which has a bayanihan spirit theme and the Philippine Star's Website's article about it in my computer, when I saw another article that said about smiling faces of dead people greeting a bus firm.

I know this is old news, but the thought resounded as the news of the Bontoc Bus Crash 2014 returned to have me to read this article. Out of the 47 people in a GV Florida Transport (not the state in the US) bus that lost its breaks last February 7, 2014, 15 lost their lives & 32 got injured. Also among the dead are musician David Sicam (his wife & 2 sons were among the injured) & activist-comedian Tado Jimenez (I used to see him in an old TV show in ABS-CBN) & one Dutch tourist (another Dutch tourist did survived but got injured, along with a Canadian tourist).

So I went to take a photo of it, and cropped, enhanced & used a noir filter in iPad Air to give an ironic message about the state of land transportation in the Philippines, most especially with buses since I too ride them once in a while. Is there anything done to keep people safe while driving? So there, this is a sad but still hopeful present I give to you for PH Independence Day.
